UnderCover® SC201P - Single Lid Passenger Side Swing Case

Your truck is all about hauling. An ATV, a dirt-bike, lumber, furniture – there is nothing your truck wouldn't be able to transport. The only bad thing is that when you need to carry bulky cargo, there's no place left for your toolbox. But then again, you want to have all those tools at hand. The UnderCover Swing Case was engineered to address your needs. This is a swinging, removable toolbox designed to tack along the sidewall of the truck bed and contoured to go over the wheel well. The ergonomic design means that the box doesn't take up the space you need to haul your cargo, and at the same time, it gives you additional 1.5 cubic feet of storage space for your flashlight, jumper cables, emergency supplies, towing equipment, sporting goods, and whatever else you might need.

The Swing Box is made of strong ABS composite and can hold up to 75 lbs of tools and gear. It is built from the same material UnderCover uses to manufacture its tonneau covers, which means the box is 100% ready to stand up to the toughest challenges. And unlike aluminum, ABS will never rust or corrode. The unit comes with two trays you can use to store smaller items like screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Another advantage is that one of the trays pops in and out so you can access items below. To make sure not a single would-be-thief will be able to reach your tools, the box has a latch mechanism that can be securely locked with or without a key. And thanks to the rubber seal that goes all the way around on the inside of the lid, the box will easily protect your tools from water and elements. You can even take this thing through the car wash – not a single drop will make its way inside the unit.

The Swing Case comes with the vehicle-specific mounting bracket that is secured with 6 self-tapping screws. Once the bracket is in place, you're actually ready to go. For you to get easy access to your tools, the box sits on the pivot joints that allow the unit to swing out 180° right over the lowered tailgate. The Swing Case won't interfere with the plywood or sheet materials that you haul as there are 2 inches of over-the-bed clearance. The company uses polymer bushings on the pivot joints, which allows the case to sit down and pivot on it without rubbing against the metal, so it doesn't rust and doesn't start squeaking. When you don't need the box, you can lock it into position with built-in quick-release pins, and should you need to take your Swing Box with you, you can lift the box out and you're ready to go. To make sure no one else will be able to carry the box away, it comes with a padlock loop.
