When developing these brake discs, the mission set to EBC Brakes Racing was to engineer the highest quality 2-piece brake disc on today's marketplace, at any price point. Consequently, these discs are manufactured from the finest materials and take advantage of state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, achieving a brake disc of exceptionally high quality.

Installation

EBC® - Rotors and Brake Pads Installation Instructions

All outer friction rings are cast from a high-copper, high-carbon G3500 disc alloy giving them a high resistance to wear and cracking, even when used on track or for racing. The cast iron outer ring ‘floats’ on EBC's patented SD-Drive technology bobbins, allowing the friction ring to expand and contract freely by up to 3mm when subjected to the extreme heat generated from hard braking.

The bells are precision machined from aerospace grade aluminum then hard anodised for great looks and excellent durability.

All bobbins are machined from a single piece of stainless steel, preventing unsightly corrosion and ensuring the outer ring continues to float freely, even after years of exposure to road elements. EBC Racing's 2-piece floating discs offer a low maintenance solution that are at home on both the public roads and the race track. Each bobbin location also features an anti-rattle spring clip, meaning these discs are totally silent in operation and do not have the ‘off brake disc rattle’ that is common with many other ‘full race’ 2-piece disc systems.

Upgrading from a 1-piece disc to a 2-piece floating disc will shave crucial kilograms off your vehicles un-sprung rotational mass, providing a noticeable improvement in corner entry turn in, tyre road holding, fuel economy and increasing the BHP at the wheels. Additionally, when the cast iron friction ring becomes worn after a period of use, the outer ring can be replaced independently of the other disc components, allowing the centre hub and stainless bobbins to be re-used which significantly reduces long term running costs.

The EBC Brakes warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship only. Warranty is for replacement of similar product or refund of purchase value only excluding all labor and ancillary charges such as vehicle towing, fitting, inconvenience, purchasing of other manufacturers products and is good for a period of twelve months from date of purchase or 10,000 miles of highway use. Proof of mileage will be required. Warranty is invalid if product is used for taxi/hire car, racing, rally, drifting, trackday experience driving, or any other form of competition. There is absolutely no warranty on any EBC product for race use. Warranty does not cover brake noise or normal wear and tear. Some brake pad systems cause pads to wear faster than others. Drivers/users must assess the performance and durability of EBC Brakes products themselves if any EBC product is to be used in racing.

No warranty is offered for brake vibration suffered due to uneven rotor thickness wear after incorrect installation of brake rotors. It is commonly known in the brake rotor business that accurate mounting and checking of runout on brake rotors is paramount at installation and in spite of necessary warnings, many mechanics still see fit to ignore this warning and make no effort whatsoever to check rotor runout. This leads to brake vibration in the 3-5,000 miles lifetime period and is not a warrantable condition. The solution for vibration at this stage is to have the rotors turned or replaced and to thoroughly clean the mounting flange on the vehicle and carefully check for runout before returning the vehicle to service use.

The EBC rotor and pad are sold as a matched set and developed to work together. Do not risk damaging your rotors by using a pad that may damage your new EBC rotor product.

Warranty on off-road brake rotors covers manufacturing and size/fitment defects only and does not cover wear and tear which is almost impossible to evaluate in off-road conditions and is limited to replacement of the supplied parts only. No claims for ancillary costs such as fitting or removal costs are included in the standard EBC warranty.

Way Better Than PowerStop 2-Piece

These EBC Slotted 2 Piece Front Rotors are so good. I highly recommend them. These are way better than PowerStop. PowerStop doesn’t have just the one piece rotors but EBC Does sell them. These are very smooth when brakes. Fits on my 2018 Dodge Charger Scat Pack 6 Piston Brake Setup

Way Better Than Stock

These rotors are a huge step up from the stock setup on my 21 Durango. I drive hard, especially on winding roads and these hold up without any fade. I did the install myself, everything lined up perfectly.

EBC is the Best Choice

A few years ago, I purchased EBC performance rotors and brake pads from AnythingAuto for my 2015 Honda Odyssey. I initially replaced the factory rotors with Power Stop rotors, but they wore out within a few months. That’s when I came across EBC during my search for better options. After reading several positive reviews, I decided to try their products, and I was honestly impressed. I went with the "duty" pads, and they provided serious stopping power, which is crucial for a large vehicle like the Odyssey. The performance was noticeably better than anything I had used before. Fast forward to my 2020 Toyota 4Runner. My factory rotors started going bad around 50,000 miles. This time, I ordered EBC rotors from TRUCKiD. The items arrived in good packaging, although I was a bit surprised that no stickers or extras were included. Installation was straightforward and easy. I’ve driven about 2,500 miles since the install and so far everything has been great.mostly driven 90% highway and with quick breaking , No issues with braking performance or vibration. I recommend this .

Much Better Than OEM

These rotors perform much better than OEM. I warp my OEM rotors after just a few weeks. After breaking these in, i drove hard and felt no pulsating or vibration. Also these rotors are 33mm thick compared to OEM 30mm. So they absorb heat better. I like the anti-corrosion coating on it as well.

Too Soon To TellL.....

Used these on another vehicle ( 2001 T&C AWD minivan) to stop 'warping' and they never warped again!!! So far on this vehicle ( 2016 Fusion) they work great. A little noisy. Wasn't expecting that. The van never had that. But I also changed front & back on the Fusion. Will review in a bout a year to see if they warp...:)

No Need For Drilled And Slotted

I ordered the EBC rotors for my 2004 Toyota Tundra and received them promptly and in good condition. It was packaged excellently, showing no damage from shipping and no use of nasty plastic packaging. Plain and simple in a cardboard box with packing paper. The rotors bolted right up, and because they are not drilled or slotted by some crappy manufacturer I expect them to hold up well for a long time. The drilled and slotted phase is a hoax, just look up Formula One brakes and you will see what I mean.
