Change of Address Policy
We understand that sometimes plans can change. While we'll do our best to accommodate your address change request, please note that address updates are time-sensitive and may not always be possible due to how quickly orders are processed and sent to our warehouses or vendors.
You may request a shipping address update within 30 minutes of placing your order. During this window, our system may still allow us to update the address before the order is processed or sent to the warehouse/vendor.
To update your address within 30 minutes, please use the Edit Shipping Address option in My Account for the fastest process. This option is directly synced with our order system, so your request is processed almost immediately and offers the highest chance of success before the order ships.
Alternatively, you may contact us immediately via phone, chat, or email. While we'll do our best to assist quickly, manual requests take longer to process. If we miss the 30-minute window because the order has already been processed or shipped, we may no longer be able to change the address. In that case, you will need to either:
- Make arrangements to receive the package at the original shipping address, or
- Request a package re-route (when possible).
Please note:
Re-routing is not always possible due to carrier restrictions or if the package is scheduled for delivery within the next 24–48 hours.
After 30 minutes, your order is likely already being processed or prepared for shipment. At this stage:
- We cannot guarantee an address change, even if the item has not yet shipped.
- We will submit an address change request on your behalf, but it depends on the warehouse/vendor’s ability to intercept the order in time.
- If the address cannot be updated, the order will ship as scheduled. You may either make arrangements to receive the package at the original shipping address or request a re-route, if available.
- If the shipment is refused or not accepted at the original shipping address and is returned to us, the customer will be responsible for all applicable return and refusal fees.
- If the shipment is delivered to the original shipping address and the customer is unable to retrieve it, CARiD is not responsible for locating or recovering the package.
Please note:
If a re-route is successful, a $23 re-routing fee per shipment will apply. Re-routing is not guaranteed and may not be possible if the carrier has delivery restrictions or if the package is close to final delivery.
If the order has already shipped via freight or is an international shipment, address changes are especially difficult and costly. In these cases, re-routing may be limited or unavailable, and any applicable re-routing charges must be discussed and determined individually per order, depending on the shipment origin and destination.

- You may also contact us via phone, chat, or email, but keep in mind that time is critical.
- In some cases, additional verification may be required. Our Verification Department will contact you with further details if needed.
